Simple Gifts

This post was originally written several years ago and has been lightly edited for clarity and relevance. It reflects my thoughts and experiences from that season of life.

I find such joy in the simplest details. God knows this about me.

The other morning, as I was drinking my milk and taking my vitamins, I noticed something small and unexpected: the bubbles resting on the surface had gathered in a way that felt almost intentional, like a tiny flower formed just for a moment. I was instantly filled with joy. There was something so perfectly arranged about it, so quietly beautiful. I’ve always adored flowers, and this small detail made me smile.

In that moment, it felt like a special delivery from the Lover of my soul. He is spinning the world, holding all things together, and yet He still notices the smallest details of our lives. I couldn’t help but giggle at the thought of Him knowing this simple moment would make my morning feel a little more tender, a little more seen.

Listen, ladies—we were created to be cherished. God is completely, deeply in love with us. You are beautiful, and He adores you.
