Writing Wednesdays

For those who followed my work as a graphic designer, you may remember when I shared that I was closing that chapter of my life. It was not a quick or easy decision. I wrestled with it for a long time, trying to discern how to let go with grace. I knew God was inviting me to release something good, but obedience often comes with resistance.

Creativity, purpose, and calling are still very much alive within me. They are simply taking a new form. I’m moving from pixels to pages.

I couldn’t possibly explain all the ways this shift has been quietly building, but I do know this: it was time to invite others into the process. This is not an adventure meant to be taken alone. I’m stepping into the new and tender title of an aspiring author. I had already been working on this book for a few months when I first shared it publicly, and I realized I needed community as I walked this road.

The book I’m writing is centered on spiritual practices. I’ll share more about it in time. What I can say now is that I feel more determined than ever to see it through. There is something stirring. A boldness of faith that feels undeniable. I sense a holy awakening happening in quiet and powerful ways, and I want to be faithful to the part I’m being asked to play.

I set aside Wednesdays to write. The rest of the week is spent reading, studying, praying, listening, and paying attention. Then, on Wednesdays, it all finds its way onto the page. There have been sacrifices made to carve out a day to write, yet as the weeks go by, I continue to hold my Wednesdays with a loose grip.

Thank you for being here and reading along.
